S&B Inc. is a design, system
integration and service company providing turnkey
services in the fields of SCADA, telemetry,
instrumentation and control, and management reporting for
the water and wastewater markets.

Inc. is a design, system integration and service company
providing professional services in the fields of
telemetry, control, instrumentation and management
reporting for the water and wastewater markets. The
company began operations in 1977 as Stead and Baggerly,
Inc. and in 1989 officially changed our name to S&B
Inc. Our two major businesses are "Stead &
Associates" providing consulting services and
"S&B System Specialists" to handle turnkey
projects and provide technical support for new and
existing systems. The firm's principals bring
together a unique background of experience in design,
manufacturing, operation and maintenance of these types
of systems. As
a consultant, we provide conceptual designs and
preliminary reports for new systems, evaluation reports
for existing communication facilities and equipment, and
final designs for new systems. Unlike most
consultants in this market, Stead & Associates
specializes in providing all applications software for
the programmable logic controllers (PLC's) and computers
which are now included as part of most control, telemetry
or management reporting systems. This special
capability has been achieved through our broad experience
which included designing, furnishing and supporting over
one hundred water and wastewater systems in the Pacific
Northwest. This experience has allowed for us to
develop and prove the performance of dozens of unique
software packages which can be applied with confidence on
new projects. As
a system integrator, S&B System Specialists
designs and furnishes complete systems for installation
by others and also can act as the systems installer.
Our services range from troubleshooting and repairing
existing control and communication systems to assisting
various national manufacturers in product development and
product evaluation. These activities provide us
with the unique ability to be innovative in our designs
and utilize modern as well as state-of-the-art hardware.
We are, however, conservative and practical in our
overall systems approach to insure our clients money is
spent for proven hardware and known performance. We avoid
experimenting with unproven products or technology on any
project without our clients specific direction and
understanding. Digital
technology is utilized for all of our activities, to
improve both quality of our work and our overall
efficiency. Drawings are generated on our CAD
stations using the most current version of AutoCad.
All drawings and PLC schematics are stored on our Linux
File Server as well as optical disk for easy access.
Letters, reports, etc. are digitally produced and
available in both print and web format. S & B Inc. provides personal service to our clients through direct involvement of at least one of the principals for each project. We have a staff of fourteen people headed by three registered professional engineers. All of our engineers, designers and software specialists spend their full time in the specialty of telemetry, control, instrumentation, and management information systems. Contact Information
